David McCollough founded McCollough Yachts to bring a new level of client collaboration to the custom yacht design experience. Equally adept at understanding complex technical issues, and clearly communicating with clients, David possesses a unique set of skills. Central to David’s design approach is the formation of long term client relationships that are cultivated by constantly exceeding expectations.

Educated as a Mechanical Engineer at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, David’s 1st career was as a computer programmer for PricewaterhouseCoopers and IBM. David then returned to school and studied Yacht Design at The Landing School in Kennebunkport, Maine.  Before launching McCollough Yachts, David gained design and engineering experience working for Kernan Yacht Design and Morrelli & Melvin.  David has also held the position of a Measurement Committee member for the 36th America’s Cup.
